I think I might already know the answer to this but thought I'd double-check. Is there any way to find out what's in a screencap without having to ask someone?

Thanks,
Becky

Becky or someone else, can you enlighten the ignorant one? What's a screencap?

I think she means when someone "captures" what is on the screen at the moment, like taking a picture of your screen.
Unless she means a captcha code, but I think she means the former.
You could try running it through the virtual printer of Kurzweil or OpenBook but I think the success rate would be very low.

Could try the OCR solutions with JAWS or NVDA. I've been able to get enough text out of a screen shot that way with JAWS OCR to respond to someone's problem before. It's not exact like reading with KNFB Reader or OpenBook or something, but it works.
And in one instance, worked so well I could get marine weather info out of an image when I was in the Coast Guard.

Aha, ok, so she's using another term for screenshot. Got it now. LOL. Just never heard this word for it.

I thought it was a new kind of hat. Don't feel bad, Alicia. I'm like what's that? Why would you buy one?
Anyway, that's all I know. LOL
Blessings,
Sarah
